Carolina Hurricanes wins against Edmonton Oilers 3-1 in the seventh game of the Stanley Cup Final 2006. The team’steam’s motto, ”whatever it takes,” worked unbelievably well, which led the team toward victory. The win made a significant impact on all the Hurricanes fans.

Doug Weight from New York Islanders scored a last-minute tying goal that pushed the puck past the Buffalo Sabers goalie Ryan Miller in the third period of the game. The Canes won the game with a 4-2 lead and clinched them the champions of the Eastern Conference. The victory ensured that the ”Canes would be playing at the Stanley Cup Final for the second time in four seasons.

The memorable Carolina Hurricanes’ way to the finale. Martin Gelinas’s contribution of a 2-1 lead helped the team to the Stanley Cup Finals on May 28, 2002, and The team won in the sixth game of the Eastern Conference Finals at Air Canada Centre against Toronto.
Caroline Hurricanes confirmed its first conference championship in franchise history after the victory and earned them a chance to participate in the Stanley Cup Finals.

4. Last Second Win in Playoff April 21, 2009

Jussi Jokinen’sJokinen’s fantastic performance in the playoff led Hurricanes to a 4-3 victory against New Jersey Devils. This victory tied the series between the two teams. Jussi Jokinen diverted Dennis Seidenberg’sSeidenberg’s hard shot just before the game ended. A goal like that had never been scored in Stanley Cup Playoff history.

5. Miracle

During the 2002 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Hurricanes were down 0-3 against the Canadians in the fourth game of the second round. They were allowed to return after two players from the other team were sent off. The Hurricanes used this opportunity to score a goal and continued to score three more without the Canadiens scoring any. 

The game went into overtime, and Niclas Wallin scored the winning goal, bringing the series to a tie.
